Sailors and boat folk are often painted historically or portrayed to illustrate the common use of the red woolly cap. The caps themselves were of the 'sleeve' pattern, in that they were knitted as a sleeve. The Sailor's Beanie is a long, sturdy, super comfortable beanie cap featuring cuffs, a snug fit and extra thick knitting, double layer knitting.
